Holiday Mini Sessions | Austin Children’s Photographer

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Last Sunday (9 days ago) I had my final group of mini sessions and I’m just now posting sneak peeks of these beautiful families. In between their session date and today, I had 2 newborn sessions, 2 family sessions, Thanksgiving with our family in San Antonio, an ER visit on Friday night after my youngest son fell and broke his wrist (we also thought he had a head concussion but thankfully he did not) and a looong weekend waiting for Monday to come so we could get an appointment with a pediatric orthapedic specialist to put him into a cast. Whew. And then comes the rain… :(

But I digress, I had so much fun meeting 5 families on my final mini session event of the year. We had perfect warm sunny weather and Mayfield was buzzing with photographers and dressed-up families. I love this time of year! I’m sharing a lot of sneak peeks on this post so be sure to wait for them to load - they are worth it! :) Enjoy!

This year, the “W” family lost a close family member to breast cancer. In her loving memory, they wore pink for their holiday portraits! I love the outcome of the session! I have so many great pictures - it was hard narrowing down just a few to share in this sneak peek. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek, “W” family!

I just got home from an amazing session with my pastor’s family! I’m so honored they took me up on my offer to gift them holiday portraits for Pastor’s Appreciation Month last month. Their session was today and they really wanted a good photo of their 3 (gorgeous) daughters. Anyone who knows this family well knows how special this picture will be to them… home run! :) I couldn’t wait to share a quick sneak peek! More sneaks of this family coming in about 4 more days! Enjoy, “R” family!! You have blessed me so much over the last year. :)

3 Sweet Girls | Austin Family Photographer

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

About 2-3 times a year, I will have a newborn session out of my home for families who live too far for me to travel. This adorable family came to my house last week for their 3rd daughter’s newborn session. These girls are 6, 2 and 1 week old. While mom was feeding baby “E”, I took the two older sisters outside for some individual and big sister portraits. It was a bit windy that day! Enjoy your sneak peek, “H” family!

When it came time for baby sister’s portraits, she fell asleep for a little bit and even gave me a few smiles!

All 3 sisters together
(Kudos to big sister, “M”, who handled baby sister’s “accident” on her jeans with such grace and maturity. :) )

Bright-eyed bunny…

One more of the two big sisters - I love the color on this one. :)

Just a quick blog post to say Happy Birthday to my oldest little man who turned 3 years old on November 6th! It was 3 short years ago that I became a mommy and it’s been quite a ride! I love you Hunter! Mommy is so proud of the thoughful, empathetic, energetic, orderly, intelligent boy you have become! You are my pride and joy, my breath of fresh air, my “brain” most of the time - reminding me to grab my purse, wipe up a spill, where I last set down my keys… in this crazy busy season of Holiday Portrait Photography, you help me get from point A to point B without losing my mind completely. I love you little man. And I love how much interest you show towards Mommy’s work, you tell me daily that “when I get older, I be photography like mommy does” - you already take some pretty great pictures with my iphone. Mommy will definitely take you up on your offer to help one day, sweet boy. I love how you still want to hold my hand when you are falling asleep and when you first wake up. I love how you help keep tabs on your brother, you have saved him from hurting himself so many times. Your ability to predict what will happen next amazes me. I love watching you grow up. I love watching you light up at the thought of doing something that interests you. I love your smile. I love your sense of humor. Sometimes I can’t believe your only 3, you seem wise beyond your years. And then most of the time I can’t believe you ARE 3 years old. Where has the time gone? Happy Birthday, Hunny. Mommy loves you so much!!! XXXOOO :)

Love, Mommy

Last week I met the “S” family for their holiday portraits! I just adored the little pink pettiskirt they brought for the session! Big brother was totally into all my little “props” I use to coax little ones to smile. He was so cute running back to my camera bag to see what other toys I had hiding in there to play with! :) Enjoy your sneak peek!
