Did you guess? Yep, that’s Hayden! My “Baby Cakes” (a.k.a. “cakes” - we have nicknames for our nicknames!) He’s now over 20 lbs, wearing size 12-18 months, cutting two bottom teeth, eating stage 2 foods, drinking from a sippy cup, self feeding with a mesh feeder (loves bananas and peas in that thing - but what a pain to clean it out!), loves to watch Oobi, Signing Time and Sesame Street, adores his brother - can you see the love between them? It melts my heart!

I first met the Taylor’s about 5 years ago when we first moved to Austin. At the time, we all went to the same church and attended the same Sunday school class for young newlyweds. We were at that church for a couple years and then life got busy… moving house(s), having children, changing churches and we’ll… its been at least 3 years since I had seen them! I was so excited when they booked a photo session with me for their Christmas pictures! Their two children (ages 2.5 and 6 months) are *so* darling and have the most amazing blue eyes…

This is the beautiful “H” family twin boys, 7 months old.

Just a quick post to let ya’ll know that I’m still here! I haven’t been keeping up with my blog lately and I apologize for that! I know I owe a few more sneak peeks to some of the beautiful families I’ve had the privilege of photographing. I’m working diligently to get them all done this week! I know it’s December and Christmas is fast approaching. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I was so excited when I found out that Miss A’s mommy had ordered a pettiskirt for her first birthday party! Our photo session was scheduled for the day before the big birthday bash, so she got to wear it for her pictures! Every picture I took could be on a postcard. Miss A is such a beautiful little baby toddler! Enjoy your sneak peek!

 
 

First off, today is Hunter’s 2nd birthday!! (Nov 6th) My sweet boy has made me his “mama” for 2 years. He’s growing so much verbally - can pretty much repeat anything we ask him to and is starting to string 2 word sentences together! This is big news for Hunter since he’s been speech delayed up until now. Go Hunter! This year we laid low and didn’t throw him a birthday party. Mostly because my weekends are now full of sessions and editing and well, one more thing to add to the mix would be too much for me. Next year I’ll make it up to him with a big ol’ birthday bash. He did get a bike and 30 cupcakes (Sams!) and a big elmo face balloon (the thing was ten bucks!). Not too shabby. He’s also getting presents from family and friends as we see them.

This past weekend, I had the privilege of doing a swap photo session for another Austin photographer. That was fun! They live in the Hill Country and own a 20 acre ranch. Their little 22 month old cowboy was super cute and energetic! Here’s a sneak peek!

It’s 12:30am and I’m about to go to bed but wanted to post one more storyboard of Hayden and his blue monster costume before I pack it away forever…

After having to reschedule, I finally got to visit the Talley family and photograph 12.5 month old Miss “L” - isn’t she beautiful in her tutu? She took a fall at daycare and bruised her forehead earlier in the week - but I bet you didn’t notice until I told ya! Photoshop makes boo boos all better. I’m working on the rest of your photo session! There are so many cute pictures!

Here’s a quick sneak peek for the Spain family. I had the privilege of photographing their young family last week - a 3 year old boy, an 18 month old girl and a 3 month old baby girl. A very blessed family! I’m working on all your other proofs - they will be ready by next week!

I was super excited when I saw my friend Andrea, her DH and her adorable twins at the same pumpkin patch! They live in College Station, but were here in Austin for a cancer walk-a-thon fundraiser! We lined up the babies and got some fun pictures!
