Just a quick pic from my diaper camera of the boys two nights ago… aren’t they sweet??? We were on our way to our church for a Christmas play. I think they look so much alike here.

In pursuit of the perfect Christmas card photo, I met the “C” family at my favorite urban spot (with the blue brick wall) for a mini session. It was super windy that day (and freeeezing outside) and well, we didn’t get many photos that were salvageable. Long hair + wind = not a good situation. So, we tried for mini session #2 a week later and we were blessed with calm winds and mild temperatures. Mission accomplished!

Did you guess? Yep, that’s Hayden! My “Baby Cakes” (a.k.a. “cakes” – we have nicknames for our nicknames!) He’s now over 20 lbs, wearing size 12-18 months, cutting two bottom teeth, eating stage 2 foods, drinking from a sippy cup, self feeding with a mesh feeder (loves bananas and peas in that thing – but what a pain to clean it out!), loves to watch Oobi, Signing Time and Sesame Street, adores his brother – can you see the love between them? It melts my heart!

My goodness – these are absolutely beautiful photos and I just teared up when I saw them. Definately feeling the love!!
SO cute. He is the same size as my two yr old but he is very small. Only 22lbs and just barely now into 18-24 months! I bet your arms are killing you. The bond between siblings is so so special. But its also SUPER hard and tough. Once mine hit a yr they started to fight and it hasnt stopped since. All day long its THATS MINE or He is doing this or that mom or its he/ she is hitting me. UGH! So its not always so sweet. I remember when he was a baby and all she did was love on him nonstop. Those were the days:) Enjoy em.

I first met the Taylor’s about 5 years ago when we first moved to Austin. At the time, we all went to the same church and attended the same Sunday school class for young newlyweds. We were at that church for a couple years and then life got busy… moving house(s), having children, changing churches and we’ll… its been at least 3 years since I had seen them! I was so excited when they booked a photo session with me for their Christmas pictures! Their two children (ages 2.5 and 6 months) are *so* darling and have the most amazing blue eyes…

Just a quick post to let ya’ll know that I’m still here! I haven’t been keeping up with my blog lately and I apologize for that! Defintaely stalking your blog! I have been so inspired by your photography that I too am trying to learn everything I can. Elle – they do look ALOT alike in that shot! Are Hunter’s eyes starting to turn green? In the last 2 sets of shots of the boys, Hunter’s eyes have a distinct greenish tint to them. My oldest had baby blue eyes until right at her third birthday and then they turned to a definite green. Just wondering if they look like that in person. I enjoy seeing the pics of your 2 cuties! It is wonderful to see how big Hayden is and now is sitting in the high chair his big brother Hunter was in when I showed him how to eat with a fork and spoon.
I love looking at my 2 beautiful grandsons.
